Connection Groups at New Hope help us discover God’s purpose by fostering meaningful relationships and studying the Bible together.
Baptism is an important step as you follow Jesus. It’s an outward symbol of the work that God has done in your life. Water baptism is not a means of salvation nor is it a necessity for salvation. It is a testimony of salvation!
We view baptism in two important ways.
First, it is a “Pledge of Allegiance” to God. It is going public with your faith in Jesus Christ and committing to live your life for Him.
Secondly, It is a picture or symbol of what happens at salvation. Baptism is the way that we identify with what Jesus did on the cross. Many have said that it is an outward picture of an inward reality.
Get-To-Know New Hope is a chance for you to get more info about the church, it’s history, and beliefs. This one-meeting class in a casual setting allows you to get to know more about the heart beat of New Hope.
Perhaps you’re new to church, new to New Hope, or returning after some time away. If you’re curious about our beliefs and practices, we’d love to share more about the “why” behind what we do. Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ within a healthy church community.
