Why Groups Matter

What Are Connection Groups?

Life is better connected! Connection Groups are relational experiences where you grow closer to Jesus and closer with each other. When we get into small circles, it’s amazing what God does in our hearts and lives. You’ll find a welcoming, warm environment where people love you just as you are.

Connection Groups typically spend time talking, eating, praying, sharing, and learning together. Each one is unique, and each one has its own focus in terms of discussion and learning opportunities.

When Do Connection Groups Run?

Connection Groups run three times a year starting in February (8-12 weeks), June (6 weeks), and October (10-12 weeks). These trimesters fit well into the cultural calendar for the Westminster area, and it also frees people to experience life together more organically outside of formal group times, too. You can sign up for one or all of the Connection Groups throughout the year.

Three types of groups

Community

These are perfect for young families.
They meet once a month, giving families space to connect—maybe over a meal, or at the park—share a quick word of biblical encouragement, and enjoy the beauty of biblical community without adding stress to your calendar.

connect

These meet weekly, and they’re designed for everyone—no matter your age or stage of faith.
Whether you’re looking for a group for men, women, couples, young adults—you’ll find it here.
Connect Groups dive into Biblical study, helping you stay rooted in God’s Word while doing life with your church family.

discipleship

These are for those ready to go deep—those who are mature in their faith and ready for rich study, weekly commitment, and even some homework throughout the week.
